Dan Townsend shell design creations available at Chieftains Museum Store
For nearly 25 years, Creek-Cherokee artisan Dan Townsend has been following in the footsteps of his ancestors by carving ancient southeastern designs and symbols on shell. Townsend has created hundreds of unique replicas and personal interpretations of Native American design that are based on artifacts.

His works are used in American Indian cermonies, displayed in museums and worn by people all over the world. Chieftains Museum is fortunate to have two of Townsend's creations for sale in our museum store. If you need a special gift for someone, stop by to see these extraordinary gorgets (or pendants).
